EGLIN is a new company with decades of experience in the property market. At Eglin, we have simple goals: we don't promise to discover the wheel, we just guarantee our clients that nobody will make a better wheel than us! Throughout our career, we found more and more clients dissatisfied with the service provided by companies that were too big, where they were just another client, and companies that were too small and unable to solve more complex problems. Eglin was created for these clients, who don't want to be just another client, but who need know-how, experience and world-class. Eglin promises to be like steel, with great resistance and high performance, always committed to the customer's needs.

EGLIN is a one-stop-shop, where we are able to provide advice on all aspects of property, from the acquisition of land to the sale of the final product. To make the construction phase easier, we rely on our sister company SPEISSE, which has a collaborative approach and a methodology and work programme that adapts to each project and each client. Just like our portfolio of services, which is comprehensive and flexible, tailor-made to the needs that are submitted to us.

EGLIN is also a company of the world, which not only comes from decades of experience in a multinational environment, with experience in Europe (Spain, France, United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Hungary, Greece, Montenegro), Brazil, China, Hong Kong and the Middle East, in addition to our association with our sister company ALTYS AFRICA, an Angolan company with a track record in Portuguese-speaking African countries (Angola, Mozambique, Guinea-Bissau, São Tomé and Príncipe and Cape Verde) and other sub-Saharan African countries.

FOUNDER

A degree in architecture, a visit to Italy and an MBA set the tone for a life of entrepreneurship, creativity and the ability to go further. A life full of professional challenges that began in Portugal, at Novodesign designing shops and stands, and then at Intergaup, where he took on responsibility for monitoring projects for Banco Comercial Português, which soon invited him to take charge of its operations in Angola. It was in Angola, after becoming head of the technical department of one of Angola's largest construction companies, Siccal, that his entrepreneurial spirit led him to take a risk and set up his own architectural office. And to overcome the difficulties inherent in construction in a country with a shortage of skilled labour, there was nothing better than forming his own teams and thus setting up a construction company geared towards medium-sized projects. Then it was time to replicate the experience in Portugal, continuing the architectural office and opening a company specifically dedicated to construction and renovations. His methodical, focussed and competitive spirit doesn't stop him from falling in love with the projects he undertakes with the same intensity as his sporting endeavours.

FOUNDER

He started out at Colliers, where he learnt that an economics graduate could make a professional life in real estate. At Colliers, he faced all the challenges that real estate services can offer. It didn't take him long to realise that leading the only office of an international consultancy in Porto was not enough, so when the market cooled, he set up new services, focusing on brand recognition and client relations. Geographical boundaries became smaller and with the experience he had accumulated, he was challenged to collaborate in the successful opening of Colliers business units in Luanda, first, and Maputo, later. The need to learn never waned, so he added the postgraduate programme in Real Estate Management at Porto Business School to his portfolio of resources, right from the first edition, which placed him among the first CMVM-certified valuers. He later completed an MSc in Real Estate at the prestigious Henley Business School at the University of Reading. A continuous need to learn and rationalise problems allows him to anticipate trends and spot opportunities, such as hostels, which his team was the first to work on, or the quantitative approach to the hotel market in Lisbon and Porto.

FOUNDER

His attraction to large companies led him to Finlog, Sonae Capital, FIAT Auto Portugal, BMW Financial Services and GE Capital, always on the rise. Never one to turn his back on a good challenge, Auto-Sueco convinced him to visit Angola, where he developed the brand's commercial and sales strategy in Africa in an exemplary manner. And it was in Angola that he got to know real estate, when he took on the role of General Manager of the newly formed Colliers International in Luanda. In a market with everything to do, he transformed Colliers into a regional market leader, creating property services and various regional capabilities. His commitment to training is ever-present, having completed a post-graduate course in property valuation at ISEC and being among the first CMC-certified valuers in Angola, a CMVM-certified valuer in Portugal and MRICS. Colliers' departure from Africa didn't slow him down, and he set up ALTYS Africa, an affiliate of NAI Global, based in Luanda, but with an extensive track record in several sub-Saharan African countries. Expanding a successful business to Portugal is a natural step for someone who never backs down from a new challenge, whether in life or in the boxing ring.
